In performing the procedure, Dr. Bogdan prepares a small pocket for each implant beneath the breast tissue alone or under the pectoral muscle. The implants are then placed either within the breast tissue or under the pectoral muscle. The incisions are then closed, and the procedure is complete.
Patients can expect some soreness and discomfort after surgery. These can be managed with pain medications prescribed by Dr. Bogdan. After a few days have passed, pain and other discomfort will ease considerably, but it is important not to rush the healing process and to give the body plenty of time to rest. Most patients are able to return to work after approximately one week.
