Endoscopic brow lift surgery can improve the appearance of lines and creases in the forehead area, including frown lines. Forehead sagging that causes drooping eyebrows and hooded eyelids can also be addressed with this procedure. Dr. Bogdan can lift the skin back to its youthful position and smooth the entire brow area so that creases and lines no longer appear as severe.
Surgery and Recovery
The brow lift is an endoscopic procedure, which means that a tiny camera is inserted through an incision so that Dr. Bogdan can view his work on a video monitor. A brow lift involves smaller incisions than facelift surgery. Several short incisions are hidden behind the hairline, above the forehead area. Dr. Bogdan manipulates the tissue through these incisions, smoothing creases and lines in the forehead area and correcting drooping.
After surgery, it is important to keep the head elevated to minimize swelling and ensure a quick recovery. There may be some numbness in the area of the incisions, but this is temporary and will fade in a few days. Patients can return to work in approximately one week and are likely to be up and about well before then.
